FC 27 Closed Beta Feedback Update — Tweaks

EA has released the official FC 27 Closed Beta Feedback Update, laying out the gameplay adjustments coming at launch on September 25 (early access September 18). Physical play is the headline: Shoulder Challenges now work best side-by-side, and repeatedly spamming the input makes the defender stick out an arm and lose speed.

The Bruiser+ PlayStyle benefit is slightly reduced. Team Press no longer has any effect while the ball is in your defensive third, ending the auto-pressure exploit near your own goal, and low Defensive Depth settings now keep the back line more conservative.

AcceleRATE profiles are pulled closer together so raw Acceleration and Sprint Speed matter more, Triggered Runs have limited distance, and female players must be at least 5'8" (172 cm) to be eligible for Lengthy. Player Lock now carries real risk: the CPU ball carrier no longer auto-dribbles around defenders and passes with more error.

Dinked Passes are fully manual, performed only by double-tapping Through Pass — the Ground Pass input can no longer trigger them. Corners give you free movement with no auto-positioning toward the ball.

EA also confirmed it does not plan significant gameplay balance changes in early Title Updates, preferring to let the meta settle, while bugs and unintended behaviors will still be fixed. Feedback on The Grounds, Clubs and Career Mode from the beta is under review, with improvements planned through future Title Updates.
