FC 27 Web App Launches Sept 16, SBCs Missing

EA Direct Communication confirmed on 15 September 2026 that the EA SPORTS FC 27 Web App will launch on Wednesday, 16 September at 17:00 UTC. The Companion App follows on Thursday, 17 September at the same time (17:00 UTC).

The clarification came after the original Launch Deep Dive mistakenly said the Web App would arrive on 17 September — EA updated its Pitch Notes and confirmed the corrected schedule in an official X post on the @EASFCDirect account. The bigger news for FUT players is that the brand-new SBC system will not be available in either app at launch.

SBCs will be in-game only on consoles and PC for the foreseeable future, and are not expected to reach the Web App or Companion App until sometime between 17 September and 22 October 2026, during Season 1. Practically, this means returning players with an established FC 26 club and 2FA on their EA account will be first through the Web App door and can start trading and squad-building from 16 September — almost a week before Standard Edition players get in-game access on 25 September.

But anyone planning to grind SBCs from a phone or laptop will need to switch to a console or PC until the Web/Companion App SBC update arrives. Standard Edition buyers are most exposed: if time-limited SBCs land in the first week, they only get in-game access from 25 September and could miss the window entirely.

Early access to FC 27 itself starts at midnight local time on consoles on 18 September for Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Plus owners, with PC unlocking at 23:00 UTC on 17 September. The worldwide launch follows on 25 September.
