FC 27 Gameplay Team Vows No Rush to Patch

EA SPORTS FC has published its first FC 27 Gameplay Developer Launch Update on 30 September 2026, with the team confirming it will not ship major gameplay balance changes in the early post-launch Title Updates. The team is closely monitoring four community-driven topics: fullbacks dropping too early and breaking the defensive line, kick-off goals appearing more often, the balance between passing and interceptions, and the balance between shooting types — particularly low driven shots to the near post.

EA stresses that an item appearing on its watch-list does not mean a change is coming; the team wants players to learn FC 27 before tuning begins. EA is also investigating referee foul-call outcomes following certain challenges, and a Gameplay-specific Q&A will be hosted on the official EA SPORTS FC Discord in the coming weeks.
