RvPLegend Crowned FC Pro 26 World Champion

Romania's Razvan "RvPLegend" Puiu, representing HyperSpirit, has been crowned the FC Pro 26 World Champion after a thrilling 6-5 victory over Germany's levyfinn (RBLZ Gaming) in the Grand Finals at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris. The tournament, held July 22-26 with a record $1.5 million prize pool, was defined by stunning upsets throughout the knockout stage.

Two-time defending champion ManuBachoore was eliminated in the Round of 16 by the world number one Vejrgang. However, Vejrgang himself suffered a crushing 5-11 quarterfinal defeat at the hands of Nassada, trailing 2-9 at halftime.

Other major names fell early: 2024 EWC champion Jafonso exited in the group stage, while FIFAe World Cup 2022 champion Umut was eliminated in the Knockout Stage playoffs. RvPLegend's path to the title saw him defeat Umut in the playoffs, GugaFerraz in the Round of 16, Alihan 5-4 in the quarterfinals, and Nassada 10-8 in a high-scoring semifinal.

In the Grand Final, levyfinn mounted a dramatic comeback from 2-6 down to 5-6, but RvPLegend held his composure to close out the match and secure his first world title. The newly renamed Diogo Jota FC Pro World Championship Trophy was presented for the first time, honoring the late Liverpool forward who was an active FC esports competitor and founder of LUNA esports.

RvPLegend becomes the first Romanian player to win the FC Pro World Championship. The result concludes the FC 26 competitive season ahead of EA SPORTS FC 27's launch on September 25.
