EA SPORTS has confirmed the first FC 27 Gameplay Deep Dive will premiere on July 29 at 12:00 PM ET on the official EA SPORTS FC YouTube and Twitch channels. The showcase will reveal the first live gameplay footage and detail the biggest gameplay overhaul in recent FC history.

FC 27 launches September 25, 2026 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Amazon Luna. Key Gameplay Changes (via EA's official features page): • Defending AI Rebalance — Auto tackles are being REMOVED entirely.

AI defender influence is significantly reduced, shifting the focus to manual defending through jockeys, well-timed tackles, and positioning. • Off-Balance Dribbling — Agile dribblers maintain momentum through physical contact, rewarding skillful control in one-on-one situations.

(PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2 only) • Corner Kicks & Crossing — Redesigned for real-time control over defensive positioning and attacking intent, with greater freedom of movement for timed runs and improved two-player header simulation. • Attacking Spatial Awareness — Teammates better recognise space and passing intent, utilising overlapping and underlapping runs both automatically and on demand.

• Authentic Gameplay 2.0 — More grounded, realistic gameplay with greater match-to-match variety driven by distinct player personalities and evolving opposition tactics. What This Means for Pro Clubs: The removal of auto-tackles is the headline change for competitive Pro Clubs defenders — less AI assistance means manual skill and positioning are now essential.
