FC 27 The Grounds Beta Gameplay Leaks Online

Over ten minutes of EA Sports FC 27 closed-beta gameplay have leaked online, giving the community its first real look at The Grounds, the new open-world social hub that integrates Clubs mode in FC 27. Insider Gaming reports that the clips — one running two minutes and a longer nine-minute cut — surfaced on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours and quickly spread to r/EASportsFC and r/fifaclubs.

The short clip shows a player exploring the open world before triggering a cutscene with mentor Chloe Kelly, who introduces Kickabouts, a new feature that blends football with dodgeball, basketball and bocce ball. The longer clip walks through the Clubhouse cosmetics store (Tops, Bottoms, Boots, Outfits, Tattoos, Hair, Facial Hair, Facial Accessories, Arm Sleeves, Archetype Card Backgrounds, Emotes), the in-world target mini-game, the map view, and a seamless 1v1 matchmaking flow that starts directly from The Grounds — no menu queue.

The objective list also confirms several Clubs-specific entries inside The Grounds: Mentors, Live Events, Club Live Events, Club Milestones, and Closed Beta Objectives, all paying out in Grounds currency. Beta testers are contractually barred from sharing footage under EA's closed-beta terms, so the clips represent a clear NDA breach.

Community reaction has so far focused on the running animation (widely mocked on Reddit) and the distance players must travel inside the hub to start a match, which several commenters compared unfavourably to the one-click menu flow of FC 26. EA has not yet commented on the leak.

The FC 27 closed beta runs from August 5 to August 25, 2026. The Grounds, including the integrated Clubs mode, remains exclusive to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2; PS4 and Xbox One players will keep the legacy Clubs-only experience.

FC 27 launches globally on September 25, 2026, with early access from September 18 for Ultimate and Ultimate Plus Edition holders. For FPCHK Pro Clubs players, the leak reinforces two planning points: Clubs on current-gen platforms now sits inside The Grounds and shares progression with the new hub, while last-gen squads should expect the classic menu-driven Clubs experience without The Grounds social layer.
