FC 27 Class of '27 ICONs Officially Revealed

EA SPORTS FC officially revealed the FC 27 Class of '27 ICONs on 24 August 2026, expanding the FUT ICON roster with 10 new legends, two Hero-to-ICON promotions and six returning legends. New Men's ICONs - Sergio Agüero (Manchester City legend, multiple Premier League titles) - Raphaël Varane (Real Madrid, Manchester United, France World Cup winner) - Pepe (Porto, Real Madrid, Portugal) - Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern Munich, West Germany) New Women's ICONs - Christine Sinclair (Canada captain, first Canadian ICON in EA SPORTS FC) - Formiga (Brazil, record caps) - Hege Riise (Norway) - Yūki Nagasato (Japan) - Tobin Heath (USA) - Ellen White (England) Promotions and Returning Legends Lúcio and Yaya Touré are promoted from Hero status to full ICON status.

They join returning legends Zinedine Zidane, Ruud Gullit, Fernando Torres, Gianluca Zambrotta, Andrea Pirlo and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Pre-Order Bonus Players who pre-order the FC 27 Ultimate Edition or Ultimate Plus Edition by 31 August 2026 receive an untradeable 85+ OVR International ICON Player Pack containing one new Class of '27 ICON or one returning legend.

Debut ICONs are upgraded to their Champion OVR by 30 November 2026. The men's Class of '27 also arrives in EA SPORTS FC Mobile through PvE challenges themed around each legend's defining career moment.

Why It Matters The Class of '27 reshapes the FC 27 launch economy. Agüero, Varane and Pepe give FUT traders elite striker and centre-back options across Premier League, LaLiga and Liga Portugal chemistry; Rummenigge plugs into Bundesliga squads; Sinclair is the headline women's ICON and the first Canadian.

The Lúcio / Yaya Touré promotions and the returning legends (Zidane, Gullit, Torres, Zambrotta, Pirlo, Schweinsteiger) change SBC and Icon SBC pool math. FC 27 launches 25 September 2026 with Ultimate Edition early access from 18 September.
