EA FC 27 PC Deep Dive: Big Upgrades Incoming

EA has published the official PC Deep Dive Pitch Notes for EA SPORTS FC 27, ahead of the global launch on 25 September 2026 (PC early access from 17 September 23:00 UTC). The notes focus on real, measurable improvements PC players asked for throughout FC 26 — most visibly, faster time-to-gameplay and clearer graphics choices.

Key points from the PC Deep Dive: - Faster launches: a redesigned Steam startup flow cuts the number of visible windows and loading steps, with EA's internal testing showing roughly 50% improvement in some configurations. The exact gain depends on hardware.

- New graphics presets: FC 27 adds Performance and Balanced modes, plus new 'High' and 'Ultra' specification presets that target at least 80fps and 120fps respectively on the hardware listed in the PC requirements. Existing individual graphics options remain customizable.

- Enhanced Ultra Visuals: a new optional tier above Ultra for high-end GPUs, off by default so performance-focused players are not affected. - VRAM indicator: the graphics menu now shows the estimated maximum in-game video memory for the current settings, so players can tune visuals with a clear hardware budget in view.

- Steam Friends via EA Connect: FC 27 removes the double friends-list friction — Steam friends are now visible automatically through EA Connect, so adding an EA Friend before queuing together is faster. - Updated keyboard controls: redesigned default layouts for WASD and Arrow Keys, intended to make common movement and gameplay actions easier to access without a controller.

Controls remain remappable. - Hardware requirements: dual-channel RAM is now specified (2x4 GB Minimum, 2x16 GB Ultra) because two sticks outperform an equivalent single-channel amount.
