FC 27 Launch Update Pitch Notes Published

EA has published the official EA SPORTS FC 27 Launch Update Pitch Notes on 14 September 2026. The document is the most complete single-source reference for what is changing from Early Access (18 September) through worldwide launch (25 September) and across the first Season.

Key dates are confirmed: Web App goes live 16 September at 17:00 UTC, Companion App refreshes 17 September at 17:00 UTC, Ultimate Edition early access begins 17 September at 23:00 UTC (PC) and 18 September at 00:00 regional time (other platforms), EA Play Trial starts 18 September at 04:00 UTC, and the worldwide launch lands 24 September at 23:00 UTC (PC) / 25 September at 00:00 regional time. In Football Ultimate Team, EA is taking a more measured approach to progression.

A significantly higher proportion of rewards across Objectives and game modes will be tradeable. Champions Tokens return so players can choose from different reward options.

A new TOTW Community Player slot lets fans vote for one player per week across the first six TOTW squads of Season 1, with voting starting 14 September in the FC 27 Ratings Database. The Store is being balanced: fewer promotional packs and lower user limits on certain offers.

Common and Rare players are merged into a single rarity tier, Pack names now reflect size (Mini, Small, Large, Jumbo, Giant) and Quick Sell values are adjusted. Upgrade pacing is being slowed: the maximum number of PlayStyles+ on Campaign items drops from five to three and attribute gaps between Campaigns are smaller.

All Campaign items now launch with every Role++ for their position unlocked. Campaign squads will be smaller and more focused (Destined for Glory launches with 15 players per squad).

Evolutions still run all year but at a lower frequency, and new Training Camp Evolutions give lower-rated items an accessible upgrade path. Chemistry on ICONs and Heroes is recalibrated: each still provides full Chemistry in position and a +1 League link to every League, but Nation contribution drops from +2 to +1.

Hall of FUT is a new FUT tier celebrating players whose impact in EA SPORTS FC and FUT made them unforgettable. Base Hall of FUT items will be available throughout the year through the Token Store, with special Campaign versions added to Packs later in the year.

Post-match rewards are increased across the board. Rivals, Champions and Squad Battles now reward several times more FUT Coins than FC 26's roughly 500–600 per match, with 15–100 Season Points per eligible match (up to 850 per day).

Division Rivals reward spreads are widened: Division 1 Upgraded Rewards now include 95,000 Coins, multiple Gold Player Packs, a TOTW Player Pack and a Giant Gold Pack. Champions returns to a 15-match Finals structure, Champions Qualification Points (CQP) can now be earned in Rivals and Squad Battles, the Division 6 qualification requirement is removed, and Squad Battles now also award CQP.

Live Events (Tournaments, Gauntlets, Exhibitions and Single Player variants) rotate through the season, with the Ultimate Gauntlet returning in Week 2 of Destined for Glory. Holographic Items launch alongside TOTW 1.

Eligible Campaign, TOTW, Hero, ICON and other special Player Items at 87 OVR and below appear as Regular Holographics, while 88 OVR and above appear as Pristine Holographics. Streamlined SBCs are a new format where you contribute eligible items toward a target score using a new Item Score system based on OVR, Rarity and Holographic status; the feature goes live on console and PC at launch with Companion App support later in Season 1.

Gallery is a long-form collecting feature with more than 100 Sets at launch. Each Set rewards Club Customisation such as Crests and Kits, with higher Grades rewarding Gallery Tokens.

The first post-launch Set (Season 1 Combined Rarities) brings Ones to Watch, Destined for Glory and Future Stars items into one place at worldwide launch. Season 1: Ones to Watch runs from 17 September to 22 October 2026.

OTW items at 83 OVR or higher retain base attributes; OTW items below 83 are boosted to 83 and are guaranteed at least 60 Pace plus all Role++ in position. They upgrade by +1 OVR for each TOTW, Star Performer or Player of the Month inclusion and can also earn a one-time +1 OVR if their club wins three of its next six domestic league matches after 18 September.

Ones We Watched Single Player Live Events celebrate OTW items from FUT 18, FUT 19 and FUT 20. Destined for Glory lands on 25 September with Kylian Mbappé, Morgan Rogers, Matheus Fernandes, Alexander Isak and Bryan Mbeumo as the headline items.

In The Grounds on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, Clubs is now the entry point. Archetypes remain the core Pro build system, AXP and Grounds Coins are earned everywhere, and Signature Amps inspired by Zidane, Maldini, Bale and others can be brought into your Pro for a limited number of matches.

Resets no longer cost Grounds Coins, so experimentation is free. Club Tournaments launch with a Classic Stadium 11v11 Event from Early Access.

Season 1 brings European Nights (UEFA Champions League atmosphere in the Districts) and Screaming Grounds (Halloween-themed Live Events and costumes). Career Mode adds Manager Live with a fresh line-up of Challenges: Transfer Savvy, Winning Start, Top at Christmas and Rio's Rising (built around Rio Ngumoha at Anfield).

Creator Challenges let players build and share their own Career scenarios, and five new ICONs (Kaká, Antonio Di Natale, Alessandro Del Piero, Raúl and Robin van Persie) unlock across the season. The Pitch Notes close by confirming that a Launch Rewards Pitch Notes will follow later in the week and that the team will keep gathering feedback through the FC Feedback portal, EA SPORTS FC Discord, EA Forums and Steam Forums.
